Artist overview

Icee Hott is a reminder that the depth of the 1980s Go-Go field cannot be measured only by how many PA tapes survive in one collector list. The I AM GO-GO working catalog preserves Icee Hott at Crystal Skate in 1985 and Regina High School in 1986, while period national music-trade evidence documents the group on Manhattan Records during the same period. Billboard reviewed the 12-inch “Hollar At Me” in July 1985 and identified it as Manhattan V-56006, distributed through Capitol; a June 1985 Cash Box Manhattan/Blue Note advertisement also names Icee Hott among the label’s artists.
