HOT, COLD
SWEAT
Artist overview
Hot, Cold Sweat is one of the bands where the surviving record-and-tape trail tells a large part of the story. “Meet Me At The Go-Go” survives as an early-1980s D.E.T.T. release and later appeared on the Good To Go soundtrack; “Love to Go-Go” is documented as a 1985 T.T.E.D. release. Collector lists then trace the band across clubs, schools, skating rinks and regional venues through the rest of the decade.

Live & PA archive
The research catalog is especially strong for Hot, Cold Sweat. The entries below are not presented as automatically final dates; they are show-recording leads awaiting cross-checks with flyers, tape labels, newspapers and venue records.
Timeline
D.E.T.T. Records release; a foundational surviving artifact for the band.
Working tape lists begin showing regular club, skate and school performances.
T.T.E.D. release enters the band’s documented record trail.
“Meet Me At The Go-Go” appears in the soundtrack campaign during Go-Go’s major national-exposure push.
Collector entries span W.U.S.T., Panorama Room, schools, skating venues, Georgia Avenue Day, RFK Stadium and regional Virginia/Maryland dates.
Hot, Cold Sweat musicians appear in later cross-band projects including Proper Utensils.
People & personnel trail
The public biographical record for a complete lineup is thinner than the record/tape trail, so the site does not invent a definitive roster. TMOTTGoGo material identifies Roy Battle and Jimmy Jam as Hot-Cold-Sweat-connected musicians in the period before the Proper Utensils merge. Big Tony of Trouble Funk also gave a first-person account of helping structure the band’s vocals during an earlier period; that is retained as his account, not converted into a broader ownership claim.
Connections
Hot, Cold Sweat links the T.T.E.D./D.E.T.T. record ecosystem, the Good To Go national-exposure campaign, the DMV live-tape circuit and later personnel movement into Proper Utensils. It is a good example of why the site needs records, live tapes and people trees on the same page.
